who we are
Zac grew up between the bustling metropolitan area of Washington D.C. and the pristine, raw beauty of the Colorado mountains. Sally is a midwesterner through and through, born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. Zac & Sally met in 2009, and after a long story, married in Chicago in 2012. They immediately headed off to Oxford, England, where they lived for a couple years before returning to the United States in 2014. Professionally, Zac works in a cubicle and Sally is an underpaid full-time mom to the most adorable kid in the world. You can read more about our awesome network of contributors on our about page.
what we believe
At Vernacular, we believe in telling stories about human flourishing. We do this by interviewing people from all walks of life about issues that matter. But this is not a podcast in which we only talk to famous people! Celebrities, performing artists, athletes, and political leaders get most of our attention most of the time, but the ones who make the world go 'round are often the people we pass on the street every day.
